And in this case: architecture, interior design and art designed as a gesamtkunstwerk. Carefully selected furnishings, colors, and materials enhance flexibility, while bespoke art pieces integrate functionality, such as acoustic enhancements. The artwork at AP Pension headquarters has been chosen with care. The artists and their pieces are rich in content, materiality, and contrasts – each with something to say. The buildings atrium features an impressive floor mosaic made of natural stone and terrazzo, created by Danish artist Michael Kvium. The Palladiana terrazzo floor mosaic is visible from all levels of the building. A spiral staircase leads from the atrium to the upper five floors. On the 1st to 5th floors, cafés and kitchenettes are located along the walkways, which also serves as the main traffic routes for employees moving between different work areas and meeting rooms. Art continues throughout the building: In addition to Michael Kvium’s floor mosaic, more of his artworks can be found on the walls of the 1st floor. Maria Rubinke’s bronze reliefs appear on the 2nd floor, while the 3rd floor showcases colorful paintings by Peter Martensen.
