Project Name: Azelya Laurus Bodrum – The Cinnamon Concept Location: Aegean Hillside Azelya Villa is one of 60 residential units located on a hillside overlooking the Aegean Sea. The overall architectural strategy was shaped by the topography: each unit is carefully positioned to avoid blocking sea views, with some volumes partially embedded into the terrain. Where buildings meet the earth, natural stone masonry walls are used to visually root the structures into the landscape. The interior layout separates common and private functions clearly. Upper floors include shared areas like the kitchen and living room, while lower floors open directly to private gardens and pools. Each villa is detached and self-contained, allowing for individual privacy. Large garden terraces, outdoor kitchens, and poolside zones support an open-air lifestyle suited to the local climate. The spatial design prioritizes light, view, and atmosphere. All interior perspectives are oriented toward the sea. Skylights and inner gardens are placed to bring daylight deep into the floorplan. One example is a green pocket garden along the corridor, allowing both natural light and a sense of calmness in transition areas. The overall development includes four villa types, each designed to offer distinct material palettes and stylistic approaches to reach a broader user profile. Azelya belongs to the Cinnamon concept—defined by its warm tones, tactile surfaces, and a focus on natural materials such as travertine, solid wood, and handmade details. Among all four, Azelya has the most grounded and mature identity, offering a quiet, natural atmosphere with a handcrafted feel. The project aims to deliver a balanced lifestyle—connected to the land, open to the sea, and rooted in simple, high-quality architectural decisions.
