Perhaps, this bridge could be a contemporary temple. Apart from the scenery itself, there're no gods beyond human beings to offer. It is not only the "Bridge" of daily life, but also the "Hall" of spiritual contemplation and gaze. A horizontal layered "brick wall" is built from the west side of the riverbed to distinct the two sides. The west side is the community porch under eave lent from the river space, and the east side is the extension of the long garden down to the river. The bridge could only be crossed by a moon-shaped gate on the northernmost side of the wall. A heavy brick roof changes from a series of continuous vaults supported by thin columns in the east to a horizontal flat roof in the west, weaving the spaces on both sides of the wall together from the top. It floats in the air, indicating the accumulation of the energy below. A series of light-weight steps of steel structure extend out from the wall and are suspended from the roof, which shorten and fall down to the water layer by layer. Getting down to the bottom step, the scenery of different times on the two sides of the river was homogenized by the stone embankment. With the huge Indus tree not far away hanging its crown before eyes, and the babbling stream coming from the end of the sight, finally, from the contemplation of the scenery, people have a new understanding of this place and each other.
