The site is in Tainan, Humei Redevelopment Zone. The light from the West and East side perfectly projects the shadow on the wall and show the existence of shadows and spaces. The balconies are designed horizontally with the boards which makes the whole building become more interesting. Moreover, taking good advantages of these boards is facilitative for ventilation and shading. “Flora Chateau” derives its name from planting a large amount of vegetation to filter the air and the dust, which is helpful for reducing the pollution. We make an attempt to weave a picturesque scene by highlighting the flow of the wind and the shift of the light and shadow. The design of the ceiling windows offers a panorama without any disturbance. The reflection of the trees changes as the time goes by. Taking the sustainability into account, recyclable materials are necessary. For example, the greatly use of aluminum and the glasses with the goal of bringing out the corresponding relationship between the environment and the trees. The building is simply coated with white paints in correspondence with the lightweight modules since the earthquakes frequently occur in Taiwan. In addition, the white cortex coating of the building is conducive to the richness of the shadows that play over it and the facade of the building frame in the sunlight. The variability of the projection of light from the east to west is immediately visible. We also apply Chinese philosophy to the architecture. Hence, the project has attractive appearance and meaningful connotation at the same time. The shadow of the trees in the yard, such as oak trees and green maples swaying in the wind. The light from the East in the morning makes the shadow wavering vividly, which enriches and balances the space. In the afternoon, the shadow of the plants keeps the building from the waste of the energy. The extension of the horizontal windows with metal decorations and STO coating draw an outline of the building. Also, the use of the color represent the contrast vertically and horizontally. The intertwined arrangement of the geometry construction and the retracted columns increase the three-dimensional. People can enjoy seasonal changes indoors, and the appearance outdoors. In addition to the appearance, the balconies are staggered in order to make sure the privacy of the residents, without worrying to be disturbed by your neighbors. The landscape extends vertically to create a broader view, as a symbol of living positively and thrivingly. The outer cantilever beam frame of the building makes the project look more modern and lither.
