Foxconn Shanghai Headquarters

Shanghai Foxconn Headquarters is located in Shanghai’s Lujiazui district near the bank of Huangpu River, and has the view to the Bund (Puxi side). It is a high-end office building which expresses the Client’s corporate spirit of precision. Various green architecture design methods are applied to create a smart and comfortable working environment, and had achieved the LEED Platinum. In terms of spatial program arrangement, public function spaces such as restaurant and exhibition rooms, etc. are placed at the lower level zones, while the office rooms are located 5th floor and up. The office floor plan has a central core layout and allows sufficient natural lighting to penetrate the interior spaces. Landscape design had fully incorporated the basement ventilation requirements, combining a water feature, building signage and serves fresh air intake and exhaust. The triangular shape and pattern of the pavement and planters are echo with the geometry of the facade. Entrance lobby with low-iron glass facade allows daylight shine into the space, the interior space uses the contrast of light color stone and red core to emphasis the anchor of the lobby. The building façade, which is expressed in V-shape pattern, is an external-ventilated double-skin curtain wall system. Movable louvers are placed in the cavity which will adjust as per sun angle, to help moderate the effect of the heat gain. Solar panels, geothermal heat pumps, rainwater collection, waste-water recycling, and other renewable energy measures are also applied.
