Overlooking Lake Braies, also known as the “Pearl among Dolomite lakes”, a new path along the forested hill will be developed into a "Nature Experience Trail" to allow visitors to deliberately slow down and experience the woods with all five senses. The trail is linked to the already existing network of forest trails and contributes with a few new routes. At roughly 15 different stations, visitors will have various opportunities to slow down, linger, rest, do activities, have a snack, learn, and engage with the look, feel, taste, scent, and sound of nature, where they will be able to perceive the essence of the woods in a deep and lasting way. The trail will be accessible 265 days a year; the barefoot path only during the warm months. A lookout point at the top of the hill provides, on the one hand, seating opportunities on which to linger facing the lake to the south and the woods to the north. It also offers a panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding mountain landscape, its form "nestling" against the existing morphology of the site by taking the shape of a parallel stepped arena on the southern slope; on the northern slope, the structure becomes an extension of the site development in the form of steps. Respect for the forest and nature. This is a minimal intrusion that adapts to the current character of the forest without changing it. The new trail uses parts of existing local trails and simultaneously establishes new ones to create one uninterrupted, unending path. A hemp rope about 2.5 km long in total accompanies the trail, reaching from tree to tree or to the ground and thus running through the forest. Visitors follow the undivided rope with their senses and arrive at a variety of stations, each having a different goal: educating, entertaining, awakening curiosity, engaging in activities like playing on the swings, encouraging new vistas towards the lake or the mountains. Depending on preference, the circuit ends either at the beginning or by opening into other existing forest trails in the immediate vicinity of the property. The 15 stations: 01 Tent, 02 Barefoot Path, 03 Valley, 04 Track, 05 Projection, 06 In-Out, 07 Tree Rings, 08 Place, 09 Corner, 10 Moment, 11 Transition, 12 Passage, 13 Clouds, 14 Centre, 15 Summit Meeting.
