MOSTA Plaza

Benoy is partnering with Bright Food Group to redevelop Mosta Plaza, a heritage site originally built nearly 100 years ago and located on West Nanjing Road, one of world’s busiest commercial streets, on par with Fifth Avenue and Times Square in New York. The project will see Benoy transform Mosta Plaza into a world-class urban complex, with a strong focus on food and beverage, including organic food experiences, food-themed retail and headquarters office space. The site will incorporate a five-storey shopping mall, with an additional three subterranean floors linking with the original Jing’an Ruitai Hotel. Benoy’s retail design is inspired by the concept of ‘brightness’ and its connotations of randomly floating and roaming particles of light. In keeping with this theme, the renovated site will include a series of smart ‘boxes’ adorned with green plants around a central atrium. The ceramic building façade will echo the local heritage style, while internally enameled glass cube units will introduce a new, more modern design language.
