Turning into modern style in Iran has been settled more than a decade ago and it is still ongoing. Getting modern from small things to the large ones has changed cities and houses structure and made some even huge changes in Iranian lifestyle. Historical buildings in Iran are kind of representation of the culture and could make a notable harmonization between people’s lifestyle and social .The designers of these buildings always tried to make a friendly relation between culture, environment and architectural structure, which could bring convenience into people’s lives. Designs of the buildings that use to be based on geometry principles are following other principles like earth geometric and you could see spaces are filled with the combination of outdoor semi-outdoor and indoor spaces that brought variety to this industry and today we observe that they all have turned into indoor spaces. Imposed restrictions on today’s building structure and ease of access to the street has made a big change on previous pattern of buildings from having big yards to apartments with more density and now you could face buildings with a small shared yard instead of wide dedicated yard for each house. New laws on building that can get building permit covers only 60% for building and 40% allocated for outdoor spaces have led to decrease of green space in buildings and have had a significant impact on the quality of life . The structure of traditional buildings with outdoor spaces like garden, trees, flowers or balcony accompanied by bright are increasing the quality of life. With all these restrictions of the modern society, having a look on Persian architecture, we have tried to bring the same quality of live to this project. Niavaran residential complex project is situated 6300 square meters old garden in northern parts of Tehran, ordered by client with 22 residential units and a total land of 42000 square meters, in 17 floors above, and 3 floors under the ground. We have tried to fulfill the dream of living in luxury duplex villa with wide balcony, garden, pool and open to the environment in the context of apartment. Every unit has been designed as duplex house and the complex is made of putting houses over each other. In every unit you can see grand floor as public and upper floor as a private space. Every floor consists of 4 units that has got 2 unit in ground floor and 2 duplex units .there are two sides of view and light for each unit. The main idea of this project is to omit the floors and adding green spaces to bring old traditional yards to the building, solving the problem of density and also making a friendly environment. In addition, the existence of these shared floors which play the role of green spaces, can improve the interactions between neighbors which is one of the needs of the modern life. Another shining point about this project is the design of each unit as a duplex accompanied by both indoor and semi-outdoor and outdoor spaces The complex has been formed by putting these duplexes and over each other so that everyone can enjoy and feel living in a house rather than an apartment in addition to the facilities provided for residents by this aggregation .This vertical movement of building not only increases the quality of life but also can provide convenience and welfare and vitality to the residents. Hope this creative design could make a great space for people and the whole society.
