The project is located at the intersection between Liupanshan Middle Road and Zhengyuan South Street, inside the Culture and Ecology Park at the south of Yinchuan. It boasts great natural environmental resources with a lake on the south. The project acts as a sales center but would be transformed into a venue for featured business and community interaction. The entire residential project enjoys an L-shaped land, resembling two leaves floating next to the lake. It consists of three parts: the entrance, the main building, and the auxiliary building. Through the twists and turns of the blocks and shifts of spaces, the space has a playful circulation route and offers amazing spatial experiences. The entrance space includes the cloudy tree, an art installation and a spotlight hall, to welcome the visitor flow. The main building is a two-story commercial space, which serves as a sales center, with an indoor tropical garden at the base of the atrium. The open book bar is the main body of a vertical space, better displaying businesses and expanding the atrium area. On the roof, the skylight introduces natural light, presenting a more comfortable interior environment for exchanges and activities. The auxiliary building is directly connected to the lake, with a lake-viewing swimming pool on the first floor, the light of which comes from the side wall by utilizing the height difference. A suspended glass courtyard connects the main and auxiliary buildings, guiding the crowd flow via the installed landscape staircase to the second floor, towards the gym and the star terrace, where the best lake view can be enjoyed. The building adopts a large area of arc-shaped perforated aluminium curtain wall and glass curtain wall to weaken the thick feeling of the exterior facade and soften the boundary between the building and the environment. During the day, sunlight shines through the holes into the building, presenting a mottled light and shadow effect similar to that in the dense forest, echoing the project theme. At night, the light from the building shines outwards into the woods, bearing a resemblance to a romantic scene of fireflies in the woods. The glass curtain wall maintains the penetration of interior and exterior spaces, allowing communication between indoors and outdoors. Both main and auxiliary buildings use several groups of oblique and intersecting fusiform wooden pillars to prop up two leaf-shaped lightweight roofs, forming the fifth facade of the building. The “leaf veins” can be observed from the middle hollowed part, creating a visual sense of staring at the sky, whilst reducing the weight of the roof. The treatment of the landscape aims to reduce the volume. By planting tall trees around the building, the boundaries are further blurred, creating a poetic atmosphere. The interior design style is highly consistent with the overall building style, which is full of wild interest, including local Yinchuan elements of Helan Mountain and the lake. These unify the style of the whole project and express the theme: The building is in harmony with nature.
