Playland

Joy in life comes from infinite expansion. Other than satisfying the basic functions of “living”, this modern home plays a richer role, as if it is a playland, offering varied blends of fun physically, functionally and sensually. A bowl-shaped sculpture pierces through the ceiling into a rectangular space made of movable, colored panels; the combination makes for a playful architectural scene. Through simple materials, refined craftsmanship, and minimalistic design, an air of luxury is created. The rough concrete texture shows perfection in imperfection, a sentiment desired from the spiritual level. A large, moveable wall adds flexibility to a functional part of the house, so that open or private can be decided in seconds. The surface material used also adds an interesting element to life. Two bowl-shaped sculptures of different radii seem to penetrate through the ceiling of the open space. Their large scale and top down configuration create a bold sensory effect. Combined with lighting elements, these sculptures become functional as well.
