Rooted in the studio’s philosophy of merging natural beauty with physical wellness, the project delivers a sophisticated space for both relaxation and adventure, tailored to those seeking active water-based experiences in some of the world’s most idyllic coastal destinations. This freestanding spa complex exists as a sculptural extension of the landscape — partially embedded into the terrain to evoke the mystique and serenity of a natural grotto. The surrounding hills, densely planted with native greenery, seamlessly merge architecture with nature, creating a tranquil microclimate and a deep sense of retreat. Architecturally, the volume is defined by the intersection of two pure cubic forms, laid perpendicularly atop one another. This composition offers a contemporary silhouette while reinforcing a sense of balance and tectonic clarity. The material language reflects the duality of grounding and elevation: the lower volume, clad in textured natural stone, anchors the structure into the land, while the upper block, adorned with artisanal ethnic-modern panels, pays homage to yje local culture and the richness of regional craftsmanship.
