Dameisha Vanke Center is a Vanke headquarters office building designed by Steven Holl. It has a total construction area of 122,060m² and an area of 61,730m². The project is famous for its "floating horizon" and "lying skyscraper". Starting from 2018, the goal is to transform the Vanke Center into The entire building was transformed into an educational complex. In response to a series of problems exposed by the land use situation, we focus on the following three aspects: ·How to respond to the spiritual core conveyed by the original architectural design? ·How to use new spatial logic to catalyze new educational scenarios? ·How to tap the potential of space in the special structure of “building on a cable-stayed bridge”? Steven Holl designed a floating horizontal rod-shaped space that dissolves the direct relationship between building form and functional use, which brings more vitality to the ground floor. The functions of the main building are connected and collided, and the overall overhead not only provides the building with a connection with the surrounding mountain and sea landscape, but also maximizes the provision of a human-scale public space for ground activities. The building consists of a horizontal public space and a series of exchanges forming an indoor public system. Therefore, we take "from lying skyscrapers to mobile schools" as inspiration and "shared super campus" as the goal, find spatial potential in structural problems, use new organizational relationships to promote cross-level communication, and use the enclosure of sky and earth walls to , highlighting independent areas as their respective display platforms. The color logic of the original building is inherited to assist spatial positioning, and bright yellow is used as a unified auxiliary functional color indoors to guide the efficient use of functions. Finally, functional reorganization created a new shared space. We designed large classrooms that can be divided and combined on each floor where large spaces can be realized. Through the design of moving sliding doors, these spaces can be transformed from leisure and communication areas into large and small classrooms, which is very good It greatly supplements the space requirements for flexible teaching. When the building transforms from the original office hotel to a school, we hope that this series of dialogues between man and nature, the exchanges and collisions between people, and the close connection between spaces can be passed on.
