The Hines 609 Main Tower soars 48 stories and boasts surrounding views of the Esperson Building and the Houston skyline. These views make the perfect urban backdrop for global real estate brokerage company Savills to spark inspiration with its many clients. Beautiful, functional, and designed for a positive human experience – the space functions both as a resource library and a workspace. The design aims to improve the social and tactical experiences of the employees. Savills invites business partners and the surrounding community to utilize the space as a real estate resource, so wooden floors and paneling create a welcoming environment, emphasized by the glow of brass lighting fixtures and an abundance of natural light. Shelves of colorful rebound antique books appear in different zones throughout, reinforcing the notion of libraries as hubs of community and knowledge. A centrally located Buzz Zone provided a space for employees to casually chat over coffee or gather more formally in a technology-integrated meeting room. Paying homage to the 160-year history of the company, the design team selected furnishings that reference notable 20th-centry designs. With expansive views and cozy communal areas, the new office solidifies its position as a favored destination for Savills employees, clients, and locals alike.
