Since 1925, Shure has been designing the finest audio products amplifying the voices of world leaders, renown musicians, broadcasters, and more. Top talent has always been central to Shure’s mission. Associates are fueled by diversity, creativity, innovation, and quality – features reflected in Shure’s lobby and café renovation. A modern architectural envelope, designed by Helmut Jahn in 2001, provides a backdrop for the current expression of Shure’s unique brand and culture. The renovation project, designed by Perkins&Will, was conceived from the vision of Shure’s Associates who desired a bold, warm, inviting, functional, and human centric environment. Strong brand color and lighting create drama, the wood and steel pavilion and biophilia introduces warmth and texture bringing human scale to the grand seven story atrium. Like the assembly of Shure’s products, materials are beautiful, functional, and well crafted. At the heart of the project is Associate choice. Within the pavilion and Sidney’s Café – named after founder Sidney Shure – the space types vary from larger group meeting rooms to single heads down quiet booths. The café opens to a grassy courtyard outside, where Associates (many of them musical artists) entertain with live music. Shure’s future-focused products are designed and built with incredible precision. So too is the design and detail of these spaces which support a new hybrid way of working – providing choice, flexibility, and pride for a world-class workforce.
