The lounge interior is designed as a holistic ground experience in line with Singapore Airlines’ premium air experience. Through the appointment of high-quality finishes and Singapore Airlines’ signature furniture, such as the productivity pods and wingback chairs. The effect is to exude a luxurious and timeless ambience which will stand the test of time. Seamless integration of locally sourced Western Australian blackbutt timber connects the space to its Western Australian context while promoting sustainability. Australian-made decorative finishes and colourful native flower arrangements further enhance the lounge with a distinctively local touch. Upon arrival at the lounge, the entrance welcomes its passengers with a distinctive and vibrant Batik feature graphic, which was refreshed by Singapore Airlines and provides a sense of familiarity and connection to its passengers. The layout has been carefully planned with the passengers’ feedback on the previous lounge. The open concept lounge can accommodate both public and private spaces by creating adaptable zones, ensuring inclusivity, and catering to a diverse range of needs for resting, dining, and work. Additional space for higher occupancy or pandemic demands, with enhanced facilities such as a bar with a barista and shower facilities has been added. A new dining concept featuring both cold and hot food stations, along with a ‘live’ station celebrating local Singapore delicacies, provides passengers with more dining options. In addition to the amenities, considerations for universal accessibility and safety for a welcoming and comfortable environment have been thoughtfully and subtly integrated into the lounge.
