The design aims to promote sustainability through spatial experience and work-life balance lifestyle through the public and open space offered within the complex. The public spaces and facilities also add extra value for the public realm and the work style of the active office works. Essentially, the design aims to deliver a vision of a future work-space that will create extra value than a place to work. For the proximity of the airport, the facade is designed as a detached skin wrapping up as a protective layer. It is designed as an integrated layer. It is designed as an integrated layer serving as a weather and acoustic barriers. The semi-transparent louvred skin acts as sun shading device and acoustic barriers, and allows cross ventilation. Potentially, solar panels can be applied to the insulation for energetic and acoustic performances. Openings from ground floors and the voids in basements allows light penetration into the lowest level of the basement. Sunken courtyards on the two ends further enhances the experience leaving from basement parking. The facade of the office blocks are also designed to maximize passive ventilation, louvres are installed between levels to allow hot air to ventilate for convection in the internal workspaces. The depth of the office block from window side is controlled within 8m to allow light penetration. The design aims to integrate practicality with aesthetics and maximize passive ventilation and light penetration. The innovation lies in the integrated solution between both the aesthetics and practicality, and spatial experience and technicality. While the skin serves as a protective layer against weather and noise, it provides integrity to the building as a whole. The semi-transparent louvred facade provides sun shading and cross ventilation, at the same time, add complexity and depth to the building elevation.
