Tibetan Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum

Tibetan

Tibetan’s natural landscape and cultural environment foster the great and exceptional Tibetan culture. Tibet is widely know for its its strong religion identity, art culture and architectural heritage. In order to better exhibit the intangible cultural heritage in Tibet, we based our concept on one of Tibet’s unique promenade – Heaven Road. Heaven Road sensorial and spatial experience is at the core of our design. Stepping on the path into the museums and parks, you will find such similarities to Heaven Road where you can experience the sky, the man made road and simultaneously the natural environment, the heritage treasure and the national culture. The users achieve clarity and intangibility as they face Potala Palace through turning, climbing and the alternation of bright and dark spaces. This path closely integrates the grandness of Potala Palace, the inside of Jokhang Temple and the abundance of Norbulingka. Walking among them, you will see a colorful grand-spectacle about the life lived on the Tibetan land deploying itself on a lyrical space: forest and vegetation as background, dancing and singing theatre, terraced gardens, miniature landscape, festival place and meditation water courtyard. As long as you follow the Heaven Road, you can dig out that Tibetan culture can wonderfully be interpreted in the modern way.
