UPON SHARED COMMUNITY | SWIMMING POOL RE-CREATIVE

This project was located at Changjing apartment in Tianjin, China. It was an abandoned swimming pool. Through the field exploration, the designers found that the bottom of the pool is 6 meters high to the roof, and the room has a very good sunlight. The concave part of the pool can be designed to be double space, which not only improve the space utilization, but also make whole space more dynamic and layered. The designers considered the young living groups in this apartment, finally decided to create a vibrant ecosystem Shared Community. Extract water cell elements from the original pool memory, and form Thiessen polygon through the parameterized processing, then combine the regional and functional organic unifies together. The entire Shared community made up by different shapes of cell module, like a cell jungle, which not only makes the pool space has a new look, also add the area of dining area, commercial area and other functional modules. The transformation of traditional swimming pool to shared community is a revolution of design. The organic union of different regional and function is an important part of this transformation, which not only makes the functional facilities have further contact, but also form a close and orderly community structure. In the transformation of swimming pool, the designers blend the relationship between human and nature, and the cold brick send out the temperature of the human nature and the vitality of youth. Adequate daylight is a unique advantage of this project. Designers makes full use of existing daylight, and make design for the auxiliary, entrance, recreational area and central subsidence area respectively. Shape of the space and collocation of color make the overall and details of bring out the best in each other. During the daytime, by using the sunlight and a large area of white reflection, the whole space is very bright, at the same time, the roof of the elliptical acted as a shading effect, avoid direct sunlight; At night, the light shines through the ellipse, just like lots of stars and created a quiet dream space.
