The ‘fabric’ theme is literal: truck tarps were used in the concrete formwork to imprint a textile texture into the white concrete—construction technique as narrative device.

Design & Structure
Steven Holl’s concept model becomes roof geometry: repeated curved ‘sleeves’ tuned for balanced daylight. The building is essentially a one-level field of galleries under roof forms that behave like calibrated light instruments.
White concrete with a fabric-imprinted surface + daylight-driven roof forms; the whiteness amplifies Nordic light, while the textured casting makes the mass feel tactile rather than sterile.
The roof shells do the heavy lifting spatially—large, sculpted spans that shape acoustics and daylight distribution while keeping the plan flexible.
