Visitor Guide

Visitor Tip

The SkyPark observation deck is cheaper than the infinity pool (hotel guests only). The ArtScience Museum at the base is shaped like a lotus and worth visiting. The light show from across the bay is free.

Best Photo Spot

From Merlion Park across the bay at sunset. From the Helix Bridge for a closer dramatic angle. Inside the SkyPark looking along the length for the cantilever shot.

Access & Hours

SkyPark observation deck: ticketed, open daily. Infinity pool: hotel guests only. ArtScience Museum: separate tickets. The mall and surrounding areas are free.

Insider Note

The SkyPark cantilevers 67 meters beyond the third tower — the equivalent of extending a 1-hectare park off the edge of a 57-story building. Moshe Safdie originally proposed the towers leaning on each other; the final design has them splaying outward.

Time Needed

2-3 hours (full complex)

Design & Structure

CatenarySpace Frame
Computational Process

Safdie Architects used parametric tools to design the curving SkyPark deck and the three leaning towers. The towers splay outward and are connected at the top by the SkyPark — a 340m-long steel structure. The geometry was driven by structural requirements for the massive cantilever.

Materiality

Reinforced concrete towers, structural steel SkyPark, glass and aluminum cladding. The SkyPark is a 340m steel truss supporting a swimming pool, gardens, and restaurants — the pool alone holds 1.42 million liters.
