Artisan Lounge

Located on the lower floor of the premium arcade complex, the 3,000 sq.ft. Artisan Lounge inherits the concept from the château design of the mega mall, is naturally depicted as living and dining area at the lower level of retail shops, as a place with serenity and coziness for afternoon tea after the possibly exhausting shopping experience from upper levels. To meet the functionality requirement of the client, the area has to include functions of retail, food and beverages. Hence the lounge area is divided into three zones: Cafe, Bar and the Shop, each designed delicately to match the atmosphere of the high-end arcade, which is with a majestic and caliginous ambience, as the perfect secret oasis to whom with different needs. With an organic ceiling, the mesmeric design in the upper atrium is visible and both a sense of openness and seclusion are created. As the extension of the Art Nouveau inspired arcade, the abstract linear arrangement, curvy furniture selection and metal finishes also build up the consistency, while a combination of burgundy and bronze conveys an immediate sense of sophisticated luxury and elegance. Missioned to extend the design from the shopping arcade atrium above, in which the appearance is already mesmerizingly grand by a thorough approach of material use and careful colour selection, the Artisan Lounge therefore creates the consistency by following a tone of burgundy and bronze. The approach goes further with a curvy ceiling which makes the installation art of glass Gold Ball and the metal Oculus Escalating Climbers in the atrium visible. One can always discover new perspective to enjoy the view from above merely by sitting either in the Bar, Cafe or at the Shop. The general use of materials is limited with only wood, stone and metal to, again, simulate the building materials that of manor house. A full Bar with a splendid marble stone countertop and solid wooden counter serves every kinds of liquor from beer, cocktails to Macallan single-malt whisky; the Cafe that offers all-day afternoon tea service contains several elegant marble stone tables with golden metal finishes on the table edges; and then a bespoke retail area with a flexible shelving system for guests to purchase premium tea leaves, handcrafted confectionaries and souvenirs.
