As a scientific research office for cutting-edge science and technology combined with multiple frontier disciplines, the architects hope to combine the rational preciseness of science with the perceptual art of architecture to create an open, shared and collaborative office environment for users. The concept scheme of the HQ building is to create “the pathway to seek the truth”. Therefore the architect break the mass of the building into pieces which formed a dynamic shaped“hill of books”. The design implied the “pathway” among the hill is full obstacles, which portraits the determination of the scientists to seek the truth, encouraging them climbing to the top the “knowledge peak”. The design of multi-level outdoor sharing platform and gray space provides users with enriched space experience and increase the spatial hierarchy. Meanwhile, the intention of the design breaks the traditional stereotype that scientific research is advanced and closed in the minds of ordinary people, and instead shows an open and user-friendly attitude, welcoming people to explore and participate. The project focuses on creating the business card of the top scientific laboratory.The designers make pre technical judgment on the scheme, accurately control the landing effect, and the integrated linkage design of space / structure / equipment, so as to customize the space for scientific research devices, and to ensure the optimal use effect of the space.
