Chinlink Office

This project is Chinlink’s office in Xi’an. Taking the positioning of Chinlink International Center into consideration, the design company creates a space integrating business and finance for the clients. Within limited space, it draws on changes of colors and patterns to present unique charm. The designer applied modern techniques to create a neat and bright entrance lobby, which uses geometric blocks to set different rhythms of the space. The waiting area is half hidden and half open, forming a contrast effect. The office space occupies 3 floors from 18F to 20F, featuring simple decoration but playful design elements. The floor height of this project is relatively low; the beams are large and run across the corridors and functional spaces; and electrical and mechanical pipelines are distributed densely on the top of the building. Those difficulties result in that it’s impossible to reach an ideal ceiling height. At last, the designer and the construction team came up with the idea of intervening with the integrated pipelines to tackle this problem. As the floor height is too low to install lamps on the ceiling, they are replaced by wall lamps, which not only satisfy lighting needs but also reduce the sense of depression of limited space. Due to the limitation of space and floor height, the designer made the central main column bear the force when building the staircase. And details are added on the basis of ensuring the safety of structure. The connotation of the space gets richer floor by floor. Walking up to the board directors’ area from 23F to 25F, people can see the geometric blocks that are used to divide the spatial pattern and guide the walking paths. The designer created a circular atrium in the heart of the lobby on the board of directors’ area. The extended spiral staircase serves as a progressive link. The transformation of style and colors extends from the center to the surroundings. Beside the staircase, there is an independent and exquisite reception desk. In the chairman’s office, redundant decorations are removed while the functional equipment takes the lead. The use of wood and leather embodies an upscale texture, and the calm and simple ambience pervades the whole interior space. The western restaurant is equipped with long western-style tables that fit the space pattern. The bright sunlight livens up everything in this area. The Chinese restaurant is in passionate red, interacting with the mountain pattern on the wall. Sitting in the mottled light and shadows, people can feel the beauty of aesthetic conception in an antique atmosphere. The hidden bar area is an ideal place for relaxing and relieving stress. The blue hue creates a rational and casual environment where employees can release negative emotions and restart their work in a refreshed state. Color expresses the space well. It creates more wonderful nodes for made-up stories and eventually depicts a highly textured office scene that breaks away from the stereotype about an office.
