GALSAN PLASTIC FACTORY

Renowned for delivering award-winning architectural and interior design projects across a wide range of scales and functions, IGLO Architects has designed a new factory complex for Galsan Plastik—an automotive company with a distinguished 45-year legacy in plastic injection molding—on a 19,500 m² plot within the Dilovası Machinery Organized Industrial Zone (O.S.B.). The project encompasses a closed construction area of 20,000 m² and provides employment for 300 people. It brings together a comprehensive program that includes production halls, storage zones, a management center, offices, social spaces, and technical facilities—seamlessly integrated within the architectural scheme. With two expansive single-story production halls and multi-level storage units, the facility has enabled the company to double its existing production capacity. IGLO Architects prioritized sustainability in the design of the Galsan Plastik Factory by focusing on maximizing daylight usage throughout the building, reducing operational costs through energy efficiency, and incorporating systems for resource recovery. The use of recyclable materials was emphasized, while solar energy systems, rainwater harvesting, and greywater recycling were integrated to further enhance environmental performance. In addition to creating bright and spacious workspaces, the design highlights breathing spaces such as open-air terraces and landscaped atrium gardens, fostering a sense of well-being for all employees.
