The project executes the arts district’s vision and values of a vibrant pedestrian friendly urban environment. The proposed Hall Arts Hotel & Residences adds diversity in program to its first phase development of office and retail. The project as a whole is designed to prioritize the public realm by enhancing pedestrian connections, livability and walkability of the district at large. The project invites the community and guests of the city to experience the district and art in a new and immersive way. The hotel and residential development is positioned to anchor and reinforce the eastern edge of the urban block as it defines Leonard Street as the projects front door and gateway into the heart of the district. The front door experience celebrates meaningful connection to Wyly Theater and the Winspear Opera House with is urban garden and pedestrian friendly streetscape. The sophisticated architectural expression is executed with great intention and elegance to enhance the district’s Prtizker Prized architectural landmarks. Elegant and refined architectural detail add an additional layer of depth and quality to the building’s unique expression for lasting quality. The design integrates healthy material resource selections and construction methodologies as the project is committed to Health and Wellbeing, seeking LEED Gold and WELL Certification. The building will be the first residential high-rise in the state of Texas to receive WELL Certification.
