King Power Mahanakhon

King Power Mahanakhon is a 4-storey space developed for the sale of duty free products. Designed under the concept of a “Pixelated Gallery”, the space is creatively adapted to the restrictive size of the area in a way that promotes a new shopping experience. Consistent with the architectural style of building, the 2,220 square metres space consists of a range of products from souvenir shops and fashion, to cosmetics and spa. The grid system is utilised across the floors, walls, ceilings, and shelves to emphasize the visual creativity as well as draw out the products in an abstract manner. Each design concept is adapted to emphasise an element of the product. For example, Ace Denim in the fashion area is showcased through the mixed-use of concrete, metal, iron, copper, and raw materials that reflect the characteristics of jeans. While the black metal elements and lines of light in the sneaker area draws upon the concept of strength and movement. A part of the perfume hall is designed with interactive LED on the marble floor to create an interactive experience for customers, and additional elements within the spa area are designed to convey the concept of unleashing one’s inner beauty. The design of the VOID is an important point in linking the four floors together with the architectural structure through the use of 115 LED panels that communicates creative content for viewing by visitors. This allows for a cohesive experience of the creative design that is King Power Mahanakhon.
