A Workplace that encompasses the environment In building an organic workplace based on an ever-transforming organization, Rever Holding Headquarters weaves the environment into a loosely connected, heterogeneous space and proposes a place where one can enjoy the changes in nature. Curved walls have been erected, which bring in light softly through window slits in between. Vertical lines of flow, washrooms and other elements are distributed to eliminate corridors and to extend the workplace to the entire floor, which makes it easier to group people beyond their desks and increase opportunities for communication. The concrete frame was kept visible to bring the interior and exterior impressions closer. The air-condition is based on an underfloor system. By using both task and ambient vents, the building can be personalized according to individual sensibilities. The lighting is freestanding and illuminates indirectly the ceiling, ensuring continuity with the outside light. By designing the workplace and the environment in close relation to each other, the shape of the walls and the atrium were formed parametrically to maximize the useful daylight illuminance. As a result, the atriums have a different shape on each floor. Stairs are arranged in the atrium to make the movement itself a pleasant experience, allowing the users to feel the natural light and wind in constant change. Based on a questionnaire at the design stage, the workplace activities were simulated to increase opportunities for incidental communication while avoiding accumulation. The plan is to continue monitoring and questionnaires after completion of the project to create a feedback loop between the simulation and the actual situation. In this way, we hope to create a state in which the architecture continually responds to the future transformation of the organization. Architecture, which is supposed to be man-made, will feel as if it were part of nature.
