The UNIT.Home residential complex is located on the territory of the UNIT.City Innovation Park, on a former motorcycle factory territory between the Kyiv metro stations “Lukyanovska” and “Dorogozhichi. The objective of the innovation park was to create a mod- ern urban district, the center of economic, technological, so- cial, and cultural development. The project transforms the abandoned territory of the former motorcycle factory into a completely new, modern, and efficient urban environment. The complex includes offices, dwellings, commercial spaces, park- ing (with charging for electric vehicles), and public spaces, provid- ing quick accessibility to all facilities and service areas. Thus, traf- fic in the city is optimized, unloading the transport infrastructure. UNIT.Home does not have repeating houses - each building is unique, and there isn’t a standard apartment. We went through about a dozen varieties for the external appearance of build- ings. The result of the research was clear, but at the same time, the diverse structure of regular geometric cells - units. Simultaneously, the units do not line up in a dull box but form a plas- tic composition. Their configuration and location are not subject to any strict order; at first glance, the facade grid looks chaotic. Such an image simultaneously symbolizes order and freedom — a par- ticular structure of thinking and unpredictability. The visual solution displays three main qualities: openness, structuredness, and diversity.
