The project is a one-bedroom residential apartment located in Jatujak, a prime location in Bangkok cosmopolitan area. The client is a young vibrant professional with a successful career in consultancy. This apartment serves as his second home during working days for easy commute to and from work. He will also use the apartment to entertain guests, taking advantages of the extensive facilities provided by the condominium. The requirement: To build a home is that is not only cozy and comfortable but also a representation of the owner to his guests. A home that will intrigue and impress its visitors. The client is fond of contemporary western decoration that will last for decades without going out of style. The design that represents his cosmopolitan life style that is luxurious, unique, and timeless. The concept: The Living Legacy In the living room, first thing that catches visitor’s eyes is the bespoke brass frame and crystal lighting that extend from the back of the sofa. Opposite of the sofa is the fireplace made of baby blue calcite stone, another element of surprise. The fire roaring from the LED screen installed inside the beautiful blue calcite fireplace is something one rarely sees anywhere in Bangkok with its very hot climate, let alone in the interior of a small apartment. The richly textured wood and wallpaper create the cozy feeling of a home whereas the bespoke brass artwork, crystal lighting and the marble fireplace add to the luxurious feeling. The occasional dark blue color of the chair and cushions perfectly accented the room. In the bedroom, things get a little bit cozier and more private with the design elements that become subtler. The headboard made of blue leather framed with brass stripes and Baby Blue Calcite stone on both sides stands out as the main feature, a simplistic design with high-quality materials and craftsmanship that pay attention to every detail. A roll of Edison light bulb installed opposite the bed not only provide the best kind of ambient light for the bedroom but also add rebellious streak to the otherwise refined space.
