Design & Structure
Based on a modified sphere formed through computer modeling programs. The current refurbishment will straighten the southern slant to optimize floor space for new tenants.
The original experimental facade system used mechanically complex louvres. The update will introduce biodiversity through 10,000 sqm of re-imagined public realm planting.
Features a central concrete core of 1,950 tons. The diagrid steel system was designed solely to support the glass facade and distribute load across its unconventional shape.
