Visitor Guide
Walk through the sculpture park to the water's edge to see how the roof 'touches' the ground, separated only by a small pond.
The Tjuvholmen footbridge at dusk, looking north as the ceramic-fritted glass roof glows like a lantern.
Paid entry for galleries (approx. 150 NOK); the sculpture park and promenade are free and accessible 24/7.
The glass roof is fritted with white ceramic to reduce transparency by 40%, protecting the art while maintaining the sail-like aesthetic.

Design & Structure
Designed by RPBW in collaboration with Narud-Stokke-Wiig, the project coordinated curved glulam wood beams with cable-rigged steel columns.
Aspen timber cladding that weathers to a silver-grey, reflecting the local maritime character, and low-iron glass for clarity.
The roof geometry is supported by timber glulam beams that mimic sailboats' masts, utilizing cable tensioning to achieve a light volume.
