Design & Structure
Rogers integrated the tower into the WTC masterplan using external bracing to give a human scale of grain to the 80-story primary elevations.
Linen-finish stainless steel and annealed glass. The lobby walls are Zimbabwe black granite with mirror-backed mesh elevator panels.
The external load-sharing k-bracing system allows for 80-foot perimeter spans. It features a reinforced concrete core with steel structure outside.
