Mercedes-Benz Hong Kong Headquarters

For the new Mercedes-Benz headquarters in Hong Kong, anySCALE created a luxurious new office space with state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure to foster a highly collaborative work environment. Taking inspiration from the Mercedes-Benz brand motto of "The Best or Nothing," the design team sought to create an office free of hierarchy, where collaboration and cross-border communication is encouraged. The initial design approach drew inspiration from the former warehouse site for Chivas Regal whiskey and other goods, where the new office is situated. Unlike traditional headquarters, the office creatively defines luxury through splendid views over the bay, an open loft-style working environment, and various casual activity areas spread over two floors, all within an industrial yet welcoming warehouse environment. The merging of the brand's timeless elegance with the endless possibilities of the modern workplace makes the headquarters a new landmark for the luxury car manufacturer. Exemplifying the core values of 'perfection, fascination, and responsibility,' the brand motto is further represented by a palette of surfaces based around black, wood notes, orange, and grey tones, all embedded in the white tonality of the warehouse's existing concrete structure. Highlights are created by color accents coming from custom-designed artwork installations, carefully selected product images, and a few unique selected colorful pieces of furniture and light installations. The reception area defines a border between the parking lot for the company's fleet and its working space. This specific set-up incorporates the ample multifunctional space into the reception area, where up to two cars can be displayed, and where corporate events can happen quickly and easily. With splendid bay views, the 1,650-square-meter open loft-style space is an atmosphere of creativity and sophisticated luxury.
