It is a true reflection of their personalities, embodying the essence of “India Modern” a synthesis of global sensibilities and deeply rooted Indian values. The interiors celebrate a passion for art and craftsmanship, thoughtfully curated from around the world, while also honoring a commitment to reviving traditional Indian techniques. Anchored by a central courtyard, the home is conceived as an inward-looking sanctuary that forgoes drapes, allowing the surrounding landscape to seamlessly integrate with the interiors. A dramatic entry opens into a soaring triple height volume overlooking the courtyard, which flows into a double height dining space beneath a suspended bridge. These volumes are unified by gold tinted rafters and adorned with hand blown glass chandeliers, forming the heart of the home. Intricate marble inlay flooring eliminates the need for carpets, while European furniture and Indian textiles create a harmonious fusion. The walls come alive by showcasing variety of artworks, handcrafted mosaics and curated artifacts weaving a rich cultural narrative throughout the space. On the ground floor’s north wing lies the entertainment room clad in deep reds and styled with regal flair reminiscent of erstwhile Indian royalty. It features a bespoke leather bar trunk, antique artifacts, and original vintage maps. An inviting guest bedroom centered around a pastel toned poster bed offers a soft contrast. The first floor is home to semi private areas, including a beautifully handcrafted temple alcove, while the second floor hosts the private bedrooms.
