Visitor Guide
Visit at night when the 'diagonal pleats' of the glass facade are illuminated, transforming the plaza into a multi-experiential stage.
From the center of Grand Canal Square, looking directly at the tilting glass curtain as it reflects the red glowing pillars of the plaza.
The lobby is generally open; theater access requires a ticket. It is the only Irish theater capable of hosting full West End productions.
The theater is flanked by two office blocks designed by Libeskind to ensure the entire scheme was integrated into a unified architectural language.

Design & Structure
Libeskind collaborated with RHWL (theatre specialists) and used 3D modeling to coordinate the intricate floor plans and strict acoustics (NR20).
Steel, glass, and stainless steel. The main plant items on the roof are acoustically isolated to prevent vibration noise.
The soaring glass facade tilts back in space in diagonal pleats, requiring a complex steel sub-structure to support the massive panes.
